arc Shopping Centre announces Suffolk Wildlife Trust as their Charity Of The Year
Each year, arc Shopping Centre chooses a local charity to support with fundraising and promotion amongst the local community. In 2021/22, the shopping centre supported Suffolk Mind, organising various events throughout the year, notably their Bury Santa Experience which raised £6,447.50 for the charity.
This year, arc Shopping Centre will be celebrating the outdoors and all living things in and around Bury St Edmunds, with a variety of educational events lined up already.
As a long-term supporter of the charity, Allan Hassell, arc Centre Manager, said “Suffolk Wildlife Trust is a marvellous charity that does some incredible work for our county. I am thrilled that we can support them at arc Shopping Centre and look forward to a nature-filled year, focusing on how we can all do our bit to help the environment, how natural space can aid good mental health and, of course, how we can support our wildlife – including our domesticated furry friends!”
Michael Strand, Community Fundraising Manager for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, said “We are delighted to have been chosen as Charity of the Year by arc Shopping Centre. Having year-round opportunities to engage with local visitors to Bury St Edmunds will help us harness the collective energy and talents of our county and bring everyone together into a bigger, bolder movement for nature’s recovery, which we’re calling Team Wilder. We look forward to seeing you.”
