Enjoy Veganuary at arc Shopping Centre
Your guide to Veganuary at arc
Whether you’re a long-term vegan, taking on Veganuary or just up for trying something new, there are plenty of plant-based options at arc Shopping Centre. This year many of our restaurants have released exclusive Veganuary menus, so we thought we’d share some of our favourite arrivals.
With EVERY single burger on the Byron menu available as vegan, there is something for everyone! Whether you are a seasoned vegan, or simply want to cut down on meat, head down to Byron and order yours.
Juice Bros is the place to go for plant-based food on the move. Their menu is completely customisable from breakfast to dinner. Create acai bowls with all your favourite fruit or enjoy veggie-packed salad bowls and unique dressings. Everything is prepared on the day with fresh local produce and no preservatives added. Our favourite has to be the acai bowl with all the toppings.
Costa has also continued to expand their vegan selection. Why not try something new with their Vegan Me’tball Wrap. Vegan me’tballs with marinara sauce, roasted red pepper & vegan cheeze in a barmarked tomato tortilla wrap.
Burger King is plant-based royalty! They have a whopping 10 vegan options! There are plant-based alternatives to your favourites as well as new arrivals like the Vegan Royale Bakon King. If you are after a light bite, they offer vegan nuggets too! We think their vegan whopper is just like the real deal.
For those with a sweet tooth, Muffin Break have a huge collection of vegan muffins and cakes! This year even includes a vegan take on their classic cherry and almond, as well as returning favourites that are both vegan and gluten-free.
Also, good news: you don’t have to miss out on velvety hot chocolate. A huge variety of Hotel Chocolat sachets are suitable for vegans! Just pair with your favourite plant-based milk. Our personal favourite is the Hazelnut Praline. Made with high-cocoa chocolate and unsweetened ground hazelnuts, this hot chocolate is bursting with nutty and mellow notes that creamy chocolate fans are sure to fall in love with. With a satin-smooth texture, it’s like sipping on paradise.
At Nandos you can create a plant-based meal with a choice between their Great Imitator chicken alternative or the beanie burger. It’s their first ever plant-based PERi-PERi chicken alternative, packed full of PERi-PERi, made completely from pea protein and the perfect way to get your meat-free Monday on in true tasty style. This plant-based alternative tastes so much like their famous PERi-PERi chicken, even the biggest Nando’s fan will find it hard to tell the difference.
We can’t forget wagamama whose entire menu is now 50% plant-based. This January they’re welcoming back a classic with a twist. Say hello to the kare lomen – refreshed for Veganuary, but with all the flavours. Delve into warming chillies, fragrant lemongrass and a rich, coconut broth. Hero’ed with their famous vegan chicken and those slurp-able udon noodles. Our reigning favourite, however, has to be their No Duck donburi which features shredded seitan and shiitake mushrooms in a cherry hoisin sauce, brown rice, edamame beans, kimchee, cucumber, spring onion, coconut and a sriracha vegan ‘egg’ made in collaboration with Gaz Oakley.
