Salary: £26,975 – £31,895 per annum (pro rata)

Contract type: Temporary until October 2023

Contractual hours: 22.2

Basis: Part time


The Apex are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join West Suffolk Council’s Leisure Marketing team, primarily based at The Apex.

The Marketing Officer plays a key role in marketing the services of West Suffolk’s Leisure and Cultural Services and will work closely with the Marketing and Sales Manager to devise a web and social media strategy that will develop and strengthen marketing and promotions for West Suffolk venues, including the Bury Festival, Moyse’s Hall Museum, West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village and Country Park, Abbey Gardens, Nowton Park and East Town Park.

This is a key role, to support the identification of opportunities to increase sales through a combination of digital and print marketing activities. The post supports and delivers marketing and promotional strategies including identifying new audiences.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to work to tight timescales, demonstrate experience in a variety of marketing media work and have the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences.

This role will occasionally involve working some evenings, weekends and public holidays.
