We are pleased to announce our charity partnership for 2020 is with Suffolk Mind.
We have been working closely with Suffolk Mind throughout the year to not only help them raise awareness and but funds for their worthy cause, while providing shoppers with some exciting activities throughout the year.
The partnership was launched on Monday 17th February at the centre Astronauts Academy when they raised £110 for the charity.
Suffolk Mind’s mission is to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health.
All of us have mental health, just as we have physical health. We are all on the mental health continuum – and we move up and down it depending on how we cope with the challenges of life and the stresses that it creates. Suffolk Mind works across the continuum, from wellbeing to ‘severe and enduring’ mental ill-health, providing support & information for everyone.
Amanda Sturgeon from Suffolk Mind said: “We are so pleased to be chosen as the arc’s Charity of the Year for 2020. We’re really looking forward to working with them throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for Suffolk Mind.”
“Fundraising like this helps us develop more new services for people who need them as we respond to growing needs in the community and enables us to offer counselling to those who can’t afford to wait or go private.”
Sam Parker, Centre Administrator at arc shopping centre, said: “We are really looking forward to working with Suffolk Mind. Mental health is such an important topic to get people talking about, with one in four of us experiencing a mental health problem it will be affecting many of our shoppers.”
