Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw

Bury St Edmunds Rickshaw is arc’s charity of the year 2024-25. They offer free, chatty rickshaw ‘joy’ rides to local people who need a bit of help getting out and about. They also work with local charities like Still Good Food and Gatehouse Foodbank to distribute food and essential supplies.

Eco Carriers BSE

EcoCarriers are a not-for-profit social enterprise providing a zero emission delivery service for Bury St Edmunds. They also get involved in community projects such as the award-winning Bike Train, helping to get children cycling to school safely.

Gatehouse

Gatehouse is arc’s 2023/24 Charity of the Year. They are an independent charity that works with the vulnerable throughout East Anglia across 4 project areas: their Homestore, their Foodbank, Community Wellbeing, and their Christmas Project.

Men's Shed

Men’s Sheds is a mental health initiative, for men to get together and share common interests such as practical making and doing. The Bury St Edmunds Men’s Shed is open every Saturday and prospective members are welcome to come along.

St. Edmundsbury Cathedral

St Edmundsbury Cathedral is a stunning mix of ancient and modern. A former parish church built in the 16th century; it became Suffolk’s Cathedral in 1914. Guided Tours and Tower Tours are available March to October. 

Still Good Food

Still Good Food rescue surplus food and redistribute it to the public through their shops in Bury St Edmunds and Great Barton. Their shops are open to the public, and anyone can shop at Still Good Food. Their customers helped save over 40 tonnes of food in 2024!

Suffolk Mind

Suffolk Mind is on a mission to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health. They work across the mental health continuum, from wellbeing through to severe and enduring mental ill-heath, providing support and information for everyone.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is the county’s nature charity – the only organisation dedicated wholly to safeguarding Suffolk’s wildlife and countryside.

The Vixens

The Vixens is the girl’s youth section of the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club. The fastest-growing section of the club, growing from 5 registered players in 2020 to a record 50 players more recently, arc Shopping Centre is delighted to be their current kit sponsor.

Theatre Royal

The Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is a 200-year-old theatre, first built in 1819 and restored in 2007. Staging 3 in-house productions each year, the Theatre Royal has hosted their Christmas Cabin performance at arc Shopping Centre in recent years.
