Christmas celebrations begin in Bury St Edmunds on Thursday 19th November, with the town centre’s annual Christmas Lights Event taking place from 3pm–8pm.
To celebrate, arc Shopping Centre will host an afternoon of festive entertainment, with illuminated walkabout performers, glowing face painting and activities for families to enjoy.
Look out for LED stilt-walking Snow Angels, a magical Glow Bubble Fairy creating UV bubbles and an LED Christmas hoop performer, with performances taking place throughout the centre, including Auction Street and Gosnold Street.
Children can also enjoy UV face painting from 3pm–7pm, with designs that glow under ultraviolet light, available for a minimum donation of £2 per child.
There will also be a My WiSH Charity tombola, giving visitors another way to join the festivities while supporting a local cause.
Alongside the entertainment at arc, Our Bury St Edmunds BID will be hosting the wider town centre celebrations, including live performances, charity and gift stalls, fairground rides and the Christmas lights switch-on.
