National Highways Respect Our Workforce Week is taking place from 10th to 14th March 2025. It is shocking to realise that workers on our highways suffer verbal, and sometimes even physical, abuse on a regular basis. Much of the abuse goes unreported, but recent research by Stamp It Out found that 35% of roadworkers experience abuse on a daily basis, and over 58% experience it on a weekly basis.
On Wednesday 12th March a team from National Highways will be coming to arc to talk about the impact this has on their workers. They will be in Charter Square and look forward to meeting the public and chatting about this issue, and roadworks in general.
