Monday 4th May at arc
Let’s be honest, Bank Holiday Monday usually goes one of two ways. You’re either stuck at home, wondering how to keep everyone busy, or you’re out in the thick of it. We’re voting for the latter, but with a proper plan.
Whether you’re after a ‘quiet’ movie escape or need to stock up on crafts to survive the day, here is the lowdown on what you can do at arc.
Bust The Boredom With Starlings
Before the ‘I’m bored’ comments start, head to Starlings Toys. They’ve got lots of imaginative ideas to keep small hands busy for hours (giving you a chance to actually finish a coffee).
Top Picks: The viral Pouring Art Bears, neon Loom Band sets, and Screen Printing kits.
The Big Build: If you have a football fan in the house, why not treat them to the World Cup Football LEGO? It’s the ultimate Bank Holiday afternoon project.

The Big Lunch! Visit Wagamama & Byron
Forget the washing up. We’ve got two of the best spots for a family lunch.
Wagamama: Their new Kids Bento Boxes are a game-changer for picky eaters (they get to pick their own protein and sides). For the adults? We’re skipping the mains and heading straight for The Crispy Chilli Squid and Hot Honey Fried Chicken. They are our non-negotiables.

Byron: If you want a burger that requires two hands and zero regrets, order the B-Rex (it’s got a giant onion ring inside) or the decadent Wagyu Burger.

The Velvet Sofa Retreat Inside Everyman Cinema
Bank Holiday Monday is officially a ‘no-guilt’ cinema day. Sink into the sofas at Everyman and catch one of the big May releases, such as The Devil Wears Prada!

On The Screen. Check the Everyman website below for the up-to-date showings and to choose and book your seats:
Top Tip! You can have a burger, snacks or a sundae delivered right to your seat. It beats a standard cinema any day.
